POEMS OF JETON KELMENDI FROM LOVE IN A WAR TIME/CINTA DI MUSIM PERANG

TRANSLATED INTO MALAY LANGUAGE BY SITI RUQAIYAH HASHIM

WAKING UP DREAMS

In a dream or a smart
No matter,
It's important, with you
I have overcome the great water
Bearing the Small World,
Then out for a walk
I'm on the road,
All that way up to you.
In the garden of mountain flowers,
Two seeds were sown
And increased we put them under,
Again we walked on.

Ultimately,
Even dreams make their own lives
And you know, dear, that
No matter how many times I have loved you
Night was not night,
The day was awakened by sleep.
And as I was saying:
We walked together
From city to city,
From flower to flower,
From me to you and vice versa,
What is important is the epilogue of this
Event.
With you, I walked the blade of a world
Through the full libido of the game, And where we have seen each other, there was light.

MIMPI YANG MENYEDARKAN

Dalam mimpi atau ketika bijak pun,
Tidak kira,
Ianya penting, dengan mu
Aku telah mengatasi air bah
Dengan membawa Dunia Kecil,
Kemudian keluar berjalan-jalan
Aku di atas jalan,
Sepanjang jalan itu terpulang kepada mu,
Dalam taman bunga-bunga gunung,
Dua benih di tanah,
Dan bertambah, kita letakkan di bawah
Sekali lagi kita terus berjalan.
Akhirnya
Mimpi pun membuat hidup sendiri
Dan engkau tahu, sayang ku
Bahawa berapa kali pun aku mnyintai mu
Malam bukan malam,
Siang yang dibangunkan oleh tidur
Dan seperti kata ku:
Kita berjalan bersama
WHEN YOU GO TO SARAJEVO

In life, however, someone should be left behind
We were very much in this wasteland, and each one
In the forehead, the bad plant has been spotted
—Abdullah Sidran

From Europe with the events
Of ninety’s memories,
I came to the city that people
Speak about with admiration
And I left my eyes on the walls
That's nice
They keep the sadness,
Oh my God
How inhuman is humanity in
Our time?
Time didn’t have any consideration for humanity
In this city
Where the First World War
began.
Exactly here
Where the Olympics were held,
Today
On a Spring Day
We arrived, me and my friend
Coming from across the Atlantic.

Each one with his own confessions
For Sarajevo.
He talks about television stories
And I do
About the time when life was costing
Fifty cents
As much as a bullet costs,
A bullet is equal to one life
Lost.
Then I was still a kid.

Life and death
It divided a fine filament,
So he tells us, calm
A Bosnian poet, Sabahudin Hadzialic
As he drives the car that
Takes us to the Festival
‘Sarajevo Winter’.
(Sarajevo Zema).

Bullet holes
Through the walls of the houses
Co-lives with survivors,
While
To those who come from outside
They talk about horrors
For the black point of the century
Twenty.
Do they all wear it or not
It's another matter.

The city
With more history
Has also something else more
That speaking and silence
Across the hills
Numerous stone graves
High, white,
They make it foretold
History.

Now
Just imagine the irony
Of luck
Or the same fate with Sarajevo
My homeland too.

Like it was expecting my growth,
Then my life taught me
Details dividing life with death,
The fate of life
Where a life was equal
With the cost of a bullet.

Now
Every time I will talk about
Sarajevo
I will show the episodes
Of life
Where the top character
Is death.

BILA ENGKAU PERGI KE SARAJEVO

Dalam hidup, seseorang perlu ditinggalkan,
Kita sebenarnya berada di bumi gersang, dan tiap satunya
Di dahi, tanaman rosak telah terlihat.
- Abdullah Sidran –

Dari Eropah, dengan peristiwa
Ingatan tahun 90an,
Aku datang ke kota
yang disebut orang penuh kebangaan
Dan mata ku terpaku pada dinding
Bagus
Mereka mengekalkan kesedihan,
Ya Tuhan
Mengapa kemanusiaan menjadi tidak berperi-kemanusiaan
Pada zaman kita?
Waktu tidak punya pertimbangan untuk kemanusiaan
Di kota ini
Di mana Perang Dunia Pertama
bermula
Betul-betul di sini
Di mana Olimpik di adakan,
Hari ini
Pada hari musim bunga
Kami tiba, aku dan teman ku
Yang datang dari seberang Atlantik

Tiap orang dengan pengakuannya
Untuk Sarajevo
Dia bercakap tentang cerita-cerita television.
Dan aku ada
Ketika hidup hanya berharga
Lima puluh sen
Seperti harga sebutir peluru,
Sebutir peluru berharga seperti nyawa manusia
Hilang.
Waktu itu aku masih kecil.

Hidup dan mati
Dibahagikan oleh filamen halus,
Begitu dia bercerita, tenang saja
Seorang penyair Bosnia, Sabahudin Hadzialic
Sambil dia memandu kereta ke Festival

‘ Musim Sejuk Sarajevo’
(Sarajevo Zema)

. Lubang ditembusi peluru
Pada dinding rumah
Hidup bersama dengan yang terselamat,
Sedangkan
Kepada mereka yang datang dari luar
Mereka bercakap tentang kedahsyatan
Titik hitam abad
Kedua Puluh
Apakah mereka semua mengingatinya atau tidak?
Itu perkara lain.

Kota ini
Dengan lebih banyak sejarah
Ada lagi yang nak diceritakan
Bercakap dan senyap
Di seberang bukit
Banyaknya batu nesan
Tinggi, putih
Mereka menceritakan terlebih dahulu
Sejarah.

Sekarang
Bayangkan ironinya
Bertuah
Atau nasib yang sama dengan Sarajevo
Negara ku juga.

Seperti menjangkakan perkembangan ku
Akhirnya kehidupan mengajar ku
Perkara terperinci yang memisahkan hidup dengan mati

. Takdir
Di mana kehidupan sama seperti
Harga sebutir peluru.

Sekarang
Bila aku akan bercakap
Tentang Sarajevo
Aku akan pamerkan episod
Kehidupan
Di mana watak utamanya
Adalah kematian.

Sarajevo 21hb Mac, 2012.
