TANAKA CHIDORA is a Creative Writing and Theories of Literature lecturer in the Department of English and Media Studies at the University of Zimbabwe.His first anthology of poetry titled Because Sadness is Beautiful? was released this year and can be accessed at African Books Collective and can be found here.http://www.africanbookscollective.com/books/because-sadness-is-beautiful. BIODATA OF AZIZ ISA ELKUN Aziz Isa Elkun, is a London based poet, writer and academic. He was born in EaTurkistan (Uyghur Autonomous Region, China). FEMINISTANBUL POEM FESTIVAL 2019 Rokiah Binti Hashim Rokiah Binti Hashim (Siti Ruqaiyah Hashim) (Malaysia) Rokiah Hashim from Malaysia writes using the name of Siti Ruqaiyah Hashim. She graduated from University of Science in Malaysia in Theatre and Drama, then continued her studies in University of Sydney and obtained Post Graduate Diploma in Translation from Institute of Translations and Books in Malaysia. BIODATA OF DOMENICO PISANA DOMENICO PISANA was born in Modica in 1958, is the Founding President of the Caffè Letterario Quasimodo, a literary circle, which has been promoting forten years the cultural, poetical and literary valorization of the Iblean territory. After having finished his degree in Theology, he obtained a Ph.d in Moral Theology at the Accademia Alfonsiana dell’Università Lateranense and the II level Master in School Leadership. He was just a Quran teacher when Italian forces brutally invaded Libya and he formed a strong militia group resisting them in the 1930s. He was captured and hanged to death in the public on 16th September 1931.The legendary freedom fighter was popularly known as ‘The Lion of The Desert’ and was also respected by his captors for his piousness and spiritual strength while in prison at the age of 73. RADWA ASHOUR Radwa Ashour was born in El-Manial[2] to Mustafa Ashour, a lawyer and literature enthusiast, and Mai Azzam, a poet and an artist. She graduated from Cairo University with a BA degree in 1967. In 1972, she received her MA in Comprehensive Literature from the same university. In 1975, Ashour graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a PhD in African American Literature.[3] Her dissertation was entitled The search for a Black poetics: a study of Afro-American critical writings.[4] While preparing for her PhD, Ashour was remarked as the first doctoral candidate in English who studied the literature of the African-American.[5] She taught at Ain Shams University, Cairo.
